Is My Smart Meter Compatible With the XXODD P1 Meter?

Full Compatibility in the Netherlands NL and Belgium BE
The XXODD P1 Meter is compatible with all smart meters in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Every smart meter has an SMR version number, which indicates the supported features and whether the P1 Meter needs external power.
This article explains the most common smart meter models and what you need for each.
BE Belgium: Digital Meters (Fluvius)
All Belgian digital meters (Fluvius) are SMR 5, which means:
- They do not require external power (USB-C adapter not needed)
- They send electricity data every second and gas data every 5 minutes
- The P1-port is disabled by default
To activate the P1-port, log in to your Fluvius account on the Fluvius portal and enable your “P1 gebruikerspoort”.
Digital Water Meter (Belgium)
If you live in Belgium and have a digital water meter, you can also view your water usage.

BE How to Activate the P1-Port (Belgium)
Fluvius
Activate the P1-port for free via the Fluvius customer portal.
Sibelga
You can request free activation by contacting their customer service.
Ores
Activation can be requested through customer service.
A remote activation costs €25.
If you are receiving a new digital meter soon, ask the installer to activate the P1-port during installation (free).
Resa
Send a completed form to their customer service.
Activation costs €31–€50, depending on the method.
Where Do I Find the P1-Port?
Below the illustrations (in your Knowledge Bank platform), the orange and green icons show the P1-port location.
In most smart meters, the port is located behind a small cover or rubber cap.
Smart Meters That Require a USB-C Power Adapter (SMR 2 & SMR 4)
The following meters have SMR version 2 or 4.
These meters cannot power the XXODD P1 Meter by themselves.
You will need a USB-C power adapter (not included)
- Electricity readings: every 10 seconds
- Gas readings: every hour
If you already have a USB-C cable (e.g., from an old phone), you can use it.

Smart Meters That Do NOT Require an Adapter (SMR 5)
SMR 5 smart meters can power the P1 Meter directly.
No USB-C adapter is needed.
- Electricity readings: every 1 second
- Gas readings: every 5 minutes

Is Your Smart Meter Not Listed?
In most cases, the SMR version is printed on the front of the meter.
