How Do I Install the XXODD P1 Meter?
Install the XXODD P1 Meter in just a few minutes.
Follow the steps below to connect it to your smart meter.

Step 1 — Plug the P1 Meter into your smart meter
Insert the XXODD P1 Meter directly into the P1-port of your smart meter.
Step 2 — Check the white status ring (factory state)
Once the smart meter provides power, the status ring on the P1 Meter will start blinking white.
If the ring does not light up:
Older smart meters may not supply enough power.
Use a USB-C power adapter to power the P1 Meter.
(In Belgium, this is usually not required.)
Step 3 — Activate pairing mode
Hold the button on the P1 Meter until the status ring starts blinking blue.
Pairing mode is now active.
Step 4 — Download the XXODD App
Download the XXODD App from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 5 — Add the P1 Meter in the XXODD App
If this is your first time using the app, create an account and follow the onboarding steps.
Then go to:
Add New Device → P1 Meter → Next
Ensure the status ring on the P1 Meter is still blinking blue (pairing mode).
iOS 13+ / Android 10+
You will receive a prompt to connect to “P1meterSetup”.
Tap Connect.
Android 9 or older
- Open your phone’s WiFi settings manually
- Connect to “P1meterSetup”
- Password: SetupPass
- Return to the XXODD App
(You may see “No internet connection available” — - you can ignore this.)
The P1 Meter will now ask for your home WiFi details.
- Select your WiFi network
- Enter your WiFi password
- Tap Next
The P1 Meter will connect to your WiFi network.
After Installation
Once the status ring turns green, the P1 Meter is successfully connected.
You can now continue to the home screen of the XXODD App.
