How to Install the XXODD Air Manager Light

Installation Manual
The XXODD Air Manager Light is a compact single-room ventilation and heat-recovery unit designed to improve air quality, reduce humidity, and maintain comfortable indoor conditions. This guide explains how to install and activate the unit safely and correctly.

1. Before You Begin

Included Components

  • XXODD MonoAir unit
  • Wall mounting template
  • Mounting screws & plugs
  • Indoor & outdoor covers
  • Duct sleeves / pipes
  • Sealing strips
  • Fixing plate
  • Power cable (pre-attached)

Tools Required

  • Core drill (100–160 mm depending on model)
  • Level
  • Marker
  • Screwdriver
  • Optional sealant

2. Choosing the Installation Location

Install the unit on an exterior wall to ensure proper airflow between indoor and outdoor air.
Recommended locations:
  • Bedrooms
  • Living rooms
  • Offices
  • Areas prone to humidity
Avoid:
  • Behind furniture
  • Behind curtains
  • Near heat sources
  • Blocked airflow areas

3. Drilling the Wall Opening

Wall Hole Diameter

Drill a circular opening that matches your Air Manager Light model (typically 100–150 mm).

Drilling Instructions

  • Drill straight through the wall to the outside
  • Maintain a slight downward slope toward the exterior to prevent condensation entering the room
  • Remove all dust and debris from the hole

4. Installing the Duct Sleeve

  1. Insert the retractable duct into the drilled opening
  2. Adjust the length so it is flush with the interior wall
  3. Seal around the sleeve if needed to ensure an airtight fit
  4. Confirm the duct is straight and fully seated

5. Mounting the Air Manager

  1. Attach the mounting plate to the interior wall
  2. Slide the ceramic heat exchanger into the duct Insert the filters
  3. Attach the EC fan module to the mounting plate
  4. Ensure the unit is firmly secured and aligned properly

6. Electrical Connection

The Air Manager Light is powered through a low-voltage supply.
  • Connect the unit to the included power cable
  • Ensure the cable is safely routed and does not obstruct airflow
  • Avoid placing the power supply where it can get wet or overheated

7. Attaching the Front Panel

The front panel is magnetic for easy access.
  1. Align the panel with the front of the unit
  2. Let the magnets snap it into position
  3. Check for secure attachment and correct orientation

8. Operating Modes

The Air Manager Light supports several ventilation modes:

 

Fresh Air Mode

Brings clean outside air into the room.

 

Exhaust Mode

Removes stale indoor air.

 

Heat Recovery Mode

Cycles between extraction and supply to reclaim heat and maintain comfortable indoor airflow.

 

Humidity Mode (if supported)

Automatically increases fan speed when humidity rises.

The device powers on automatically once connected.

9. App Control (WiFi Models)

WiFi-enabled versions can be controlled via the XXODD App, offering:

10. Maintenance

Filter Care

  1. Clean or replace filters every 3–6 months
  2. Remove the magnetic panel
  3. Rinse washable filters or replace disposable ones

Ceramic Core

  1. Inspect annually
  2. Clean gently if dust buildup occurs

11. Noise Level

The Air Manager Light operates quietly, suitable for bedrooms and living spaces.

12. Troubleshooting

No Airflow

  • Check power connection
  • Ensure the fan module is installed correctly
  • Verify that the front panel is not blocking airflow
WiFi Issues
  • Move the router closer
  • Restart the network
  • Re-enter pairing mode by holding the button until the LED indicates setup mode

13. Safety Guidelines

  • Do not block air inlets or outlets
  • Do not install near open flames or exposed heat sources
  • Disconnect power before internal cleaning
  • Only use approved accessories and filters
  • Ensure correct installation to prevent moisture issues
